
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 in 1976) is an ex- American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is thought to be one of the most significant tight ends of all time. Gonzalez holds the NFL's record in receiving yards and receptions as a tight-end. In addition, he is third in total receptions. Gonzalez was selected in the 1st round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of the team for his first 12 seasons with them. In his final five seasons in the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez retired in 2013, was the analyst of NFL on Prime Video. Before this, he worked at CBS Sports, Fox Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also earned six All-Pro awards. Gonzalez is well-known for his endurance and rare errors. He played in 272 games of the regular season, and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 plays. He was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
